For many decades, owning a car has been completely normal for households in Europe. In large parts and in most regions, it still is today. However, there are increasingly more alternative options to car ownership and the car itself. The question of whether one actually needs a car, how often it is needed, and what type of vehicle, often determines the decision to buy or not. Where is the trend heading?
